About the Role
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and mentoring the engineers while overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. This role involves collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure technical excellence, innovation, and alignment with business goals. The Engineering Manager balances technical leadership with people management to drive productivity, quality, and professional growth within the engineering team
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow engineering and planning teams
- Provide feedback and support career development for engineers.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain engineering talent.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements.
- Collaborate with Planning, Quality, and other stakeholders to define project scope and technical requirements.
- Drive technical decision-making, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and secure engineering solutions.
- Implement and refine engineering processes to enhance productivity and quality.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Promote a culture of quality through reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, or at least 2 years equivalent industry related experience at Management level.
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably within a Part 145 organisation with at least 2 years in a leadership or Management role.
- Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in relevant technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential for this role.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
