Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on position responsible for performing structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and aircraft components constructed from both metal and composite materials. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance planners and fellow technicians to develop repair solutions and complete work in accordance with approved maintenance documentation and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft, components, and assemblies using approved maintenance manuals and repair documentation.
- Fabricate, repair, and install aircraft sheet metal components and structural assemblies.
- Interpret technical drawings, repair instructions, and manufacturer publications.
- Collaborate with maintenance planning and engineering teams to develop effective repair solutions.
- Work with aircraft sheet metal, composite materials, fasteners, and fabrication equipment.
- Support other maintenance activities as required to ensure efficient aircraft turnaround.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) training preferred, or equivalent experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, Metal Technician, Construction Mechanic, or similar trade.
- Several years of hands-on aircraft structural repair and sheet metal experience.
- Experience working with aircraft metals, composites, and structural repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and maintenance manuals.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new procedures and continuously develop technical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional language skills are considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
