About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading aviation manufacturing, we are currently recruiting for a Junior Estimating Engineer to support their maintenance and engineering activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with estimates for CNC milling, turning and associated manufacturing work.
- Reviewing engineering drawings and learning to interpret digital models.
- Obtaining supplier prices and lead times for materials, bought-out parts and treatments.
- Supporting calculations for machining times, material costs and manufacturing processes.
- Liaising with engineering, production and purchasing teams to gather technical information.
- Helping prepare accurate quotations in line with customer requirements.
- Maintaining quotation records and updating the bid register.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Previous hands-on experience in CNC machining or sheet metal manufacturing is essential, with operator-level experience as a minimum.
- An interest in developing a career in manufacturing estimating.
- An understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Right to work in the UK
