Job Purpose:  

The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the management and coordination of all engineering and associated projects including tank entry teams. They are also responsible to the Head Engineering for the efficient management, administration and compliance of all engineering projects.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Controls and manages all projects as advised by the Head of Engineering.
  • Maintains and controls an electronic data base system (Q Pulse) to ensure internal and external audit records/processes are adhered to in accordance with EASA/CAA/Company approval legislation.
  • Ensure of Engineering team members have ELMS accounts and management of data inputted.
  • Coordinates and controls all training and ensures that it is consistent with the division and/or customer’s requirements.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Engineering, devises and implements techniques and procedures as to ensure continuing compliance with the requirements of JMC policy. Ensures the highest possible technical standards consistent with cost.
  • Assists the Head of Engineering where necessary to ensures contracts are in place with customers and suppliers that comply with the necessary legislative and regulatory requirements laid down by the authorities and the organisations governance.
  • To manage recruitment requirements of JMC Engineering. (Including advertisements, interviews, practical exercises, follow up and processing etc).
  • Assist the JMC Administration team to coordinate and control continuation training.
  • To assist the Head Engineering with departmental budgetary management.
  • To manage the database for the JMC Event follow up process.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Aviation engineering background.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Being able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to organise and prioritise own work.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Flexibility within the role.
  • Client focus.
  • Ability to convey information accurately, clearly and in a manner easily understood.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and database systems.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a busy office environment would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience working with a Part-145 Quality Management System would be advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering
