On behalf of a well-established Canadian aviation operator, we are recruiting an experienced Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME-E) to support a modern and diverse aircraft fleet. This is a critical position within the maintenance operation, offering a rotational schedule, competitive hourly rates, and long-term stability within a safety-driven organisation.

The successful candidate will play a key role in avionics maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting, while also contributing to mentoring junior team members and maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.

  • Rotation: 8 days on / 6 days off
  • Alternating rotations: 2 rotations days / 2 rotations nights

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Avionics maintenance and return to service in line with CARs and company manuals
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and certify avionics systems
  • Manage avionics installations, mods, and equipment changes
  • Maintain accurate technical records and configuration control
  • Support aircraft recovery, inspections, and work away from base as required
  • Mentor apprentices and junior engineers
  • Promote safe work practices and SMS compliance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Transport Canada approved Avionics and Electronics Technology Program or Approved ICS correspondence.
  • Transport Canada AME License Category E or Extensive line maintenance experience on business aircraft, classic Dash 8, 1900D’s
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • Radio licence
  • Strong working knowledge of CARs
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, drawings, and blueprints
  • Proven avionics diagnostic and troubleshooting capability
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office & Outlook)
