About the Role
The Aviation Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components for aviation products and equipment. This role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to ensure high-quality, airworthy assemblies that meet all company, regulatory, and customer specifications
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and route electrical wiring, harnesses, and components according to engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation.
- Perform crimping, soldering, splicing, and termination of wires and cables following standard aviation and company procedures.
- Install electrical panels, connectors, and avionics components within aircraft or subassemblies.
- Conduct continuity checks, insulation resistance tests, and functional testing using appropriate electrical test equipment.
- Identify and correct wiring issues, shorts, or discrepancies during assembly or testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, test results, and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations at all times
- Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and other technicians to resolve assembly and design issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring techniques, tools, and materials.
- Skilled in using multimeters, continuity testers, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environ
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical assembly, ideally within the aviation, aerospace, or defence industry.
