JMC Aviation is working with a Maintenance Repair Organisation based in Manchester, looking to recruit a new Sheet Metal Worker to join their team.
This client is a leading MRO dealing with base maintenance as well as interior modifications, fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This is a Permanent Position based in Manchester, UK.
Monday to Friday, working either 07:00 to 15:30 or 15:00 to 23:30.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to fabricate, assemble and repair sheet metal products, reporting to and working with the leading mechanic/certifier as allocated.
Other duties involve
– Removing and installing major aircraft structural sections, in accordance with approved documentation
– Working to fine tolerances and high standards as defined by the approved documentation
– Upholding high standards of safety and housekeeping for yourself and others
– Adhering to all company procedures
In order to be successful in this role the Sheet Metal Worker will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes
– Completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production or live aircraft
– Extensive aircraft and structures/repairs experience
– Demonstratable experience in aircraft modification/production/maintenance in a Part 145 MRO environment
– Capable of reading and understanding manufacturers drawings and SRMs
– Knowledge of MS Office applications
– Right to live and work in the UK
