JMC Aviation are working with a surface treatment company based in Bishop Stortford, looking to recruit a new Senior Quality Inspector to join their team.
This client offers a range of surface treatments and non destructive testing, creating aerospace components using CNC Machines to fabricate sheet metal. This family run company provide an outstanding customer service and helping their employees progress within their roles.
This is a Permanent Position based in Bishop Stortford.
39 hours per week, Monday – Thursday.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is To provide leadership to the Sheetmetal Quality Control department, ensuring all work carried out is to the required standards and meets customer specifications.
Other duties involve:
Inspection of First off components for manufactured sheet metal and assembled parts.
Stage and Final Inspection of manufactured sheet metal and assembled parts.
Ensuring all work carried out is within customer and industry specifications.
First Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements.
Management of MRB (RCCA) system (Q-Pulse)
Supervision of inspection staff
Management of customer quality concerns with quality engineers
Training and development of the inspection department
Maintain KPI's specific for inspection
Attend daily meetings with the inspection team to understand priorities/problems.
Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Management of specific quality projects within capabilities.
Skills and experience required.
In order to be successful in this role the Senior Quality Inspector will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Previous fine limit technical experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 desirable
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience using hand measurement tools
Use of PC and related programmes
Right to live and work in the UK
