Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract via JMC Aviation

JMC Aviation is working on behalf of a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Program Manager for a high-impact project based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a complex Facility Readiness Programme-supporting the operational launch of a strategically critical site.

About the Role
As Program Manager, you will lead the successful planning, execution, and coordination of multiple concurrent workstreams across various functions-including construction, equipment installation, IT, operational integration, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll work closely with a wide range of stakeholders including internal teams, external vendors, and industry regulators to ensure all elements of facility readiness are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.

This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, complex environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of a large-scale facility readiness programme
  • Manage timelines, resources, and risks across multiple streams (build, fit-out, IT, systems, operations)
  • Ensure integration of all elements required for operational readiness including systems, people, equipment, processes, and compliance
  • Maintain programme governance, reporting, and stakeholder alignment
  • Identify and resolve risks and issues quickly to maintain programme momentum
  • Oversee third-party vendor relationships and ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Report progress and escalate key risks to senior stakeholders as required
  • Support the handover and transition into live operations

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in programme or project management in aviation, engineering, or a similar regulated environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent work streams with clarity and confidence
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams
  • Sound knowledge of programme governance, resource planning, and budget tracking
  • Highly organised, proactive, and outcome-driven
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage external suppliers

Why Apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a major infrastructure and operational programme at a critical stage. You’ll be working with a high-performing team and contributing to the success of a national facility that plays a key role in the aviation sector.
