This is a Permanent Position based in Biggin Hill, UK.
5/5/4 shift pattern or option for Monday – Friday.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for all of the technical and physical activities within the hangar to ensure the smooth running of the NDT process to customer demand within the workshop.
Other Duties Involve
– Using the integrated quality management system
– Writing and maintaining technique method sheets for the testing of components
– Understanding and applying the company and industry statutory operational specifications for the evaluation of landing gear components, flap tracks and carriages
– Testing and verifying the condition of a diverse range of components passing through the NDT area
– Maintaining the practical experience record (PER) book
– Attending internal and external training courses, to maintain and develop the relevance of their certification
– Performing such routine maintenance on equipment in the area as is required to operate legally
– Constantly monitoring operating methods in order to facilitate both qualitative and qualitative improvements in the service provided to the customer
– Working within established company policies, procedures and agreements
In order to be successful in this role the NDT Technician will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes
– Aerospace Apprenticeship preferable
– NDT theory and practice (Eddy Current L2/Magnetic Particle Inspection L2/Liquid (Dye) Penetrant L2/Ultrasonic Testing L2)
– Experience with working to EASA 145 requirements
– Component inspection experience
– Good IT user knowledge (e.g. SAP or similar business software, Microsoft Office, Excel)
– Basic knowledge of EASA/CAA/FAA requirements and other applicable aviation regulations
– Knowledge of Health and Safety working practice
– Able to communicate fluently in English both written and verbal
– Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
– Right to live and work in the UK
