Our client, a well-established aircraft maintenance organization (MRO) based in Calgary, Alberta, is currently seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME – M) with turboprop experience.

This position will support heavy maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on regional and utility aircraft platforms. The successful candidates will perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft mechanical systems while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft mechanical systems including powerplant, flight controls, hydraulics, landing gear, and associated electrical components.

  • Interpret and apply technical documentation including maintenance manuals, service bulletins, system schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering orders, and manufacturer installation instructions.

  • Conduct system checks, functional tests, and inspections to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, Transport Canada regulations, and industry standards.

  • Maintain accurate technical records and documentation of all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure proper part identification, configuration control, and traceability for all components removed or installed on aircraft.

  • Utilize maintenance test equipment and hand tools appropriately to perform installations, repairs, and system testing.

  • Safely operate ground support equipment such as power carts, lifts, and other support equipment when authorized and trained.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and promptly report any safety concerns or hazards.

  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members while following both written and verbal instructions.

  • Support operational needs by maintaining flexibility for assigned tasks and shift schedules when required.

Education & Experience

  • Valid Transport Canada AME “M” License.

  • 1–5+ years of experience working on turboprop aircraft platforms.

  • Experience with aircraft such as Dash 8, Twin Otter, or CL-series aircraft is considered an asset.

  • Aircraft type ratings are considered an asset.

  • Eligibility to hold Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical systems and standard maintenance practices.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with digital maintenance documentation systems.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:30.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when required.

  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
