About the Role
On behalf of our client, a globally leading MRO and business aircraft manufacturer, we are currently recruiting for a Head of Operations to help support their business activities. Key Responsibilities
The Role:
- Assume and perform operational responsibility as a EASA Part 145.30 Nominated Person
- Ensure technical and disciplinary leadership of the Production and Materials departments within the approved organization
- Delegate and monitor tasks, authorities, and responsibilities in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Ensure compliance with all aviation law, safety, quality, and compliance-related requirements
- Ensure order, safety, and quality within the areas of responsibility
- Consider and support economic principles in operational business
- Coordinate technically with international sites and central corporate departments
- Provide relevant information appropriately to executive management and participate in daily international Direct Management Meetings (DMMs) within your area of responsibility
- Carry out instructions from the General Manager and assume additional appropriate tasks as assigned
- Lead, motivate, and develop all subordinate employees and implement individual HR measures in coordination with the HR department where necessary
- Manage and control operational production capacities and productivity (actual vs. target), and ensure smooth maintenance operations in compliance with quality standards, aviation regulations, qualifications, priorities, deadlines, and commercial aspects
- Manage and monitor the implementation and optimization of standardized workflows (safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, and environmental aspects) across process chains; oversee delegated responsibilities within performance dialogues and ensure close coordination with the Head of Planning & Procurement
- Manage and monitor material deliveries and handling, as well as required tools, in accordance with the Quality Management Handbook (QMH) across all involved process chains; ensure efficient and effective facility management
- Coordinate and communicate technical and commercial matters between Procurement & Planning, Finance, CPMs, Management, and within the company network
- Act as escalation level during aircraft ground times and serve as interface to all involved departments
- Take on special tasks and participate in projects
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification
- EASA Form 4 / Postholder (existing or commitment to obtain)
- Several years of professional experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably in business aviation
- Very good knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes and interrelationships
- Very good knowledge of regulatory and internal operational requirements
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (Microsoft 365, ERP systems, databases)
- Strong analytical skills and experience in reporting
- Excellent communication and coordination skills; confident in dealing with internal and external interfaces
- Very high sense of responsibility
- Strong service orientation and customer focus
- Structured, independent, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
- Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken
- Basic knowledge of business administration and commercial principles
- Good knowledge of aviation and contract law
