About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for an Estimator/Sales Support to support their quoting and pricing activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
The Role:
- Produce cost estimate proposals for maintenance / repair / modification events on supported platforms by collecting and analysing data.
- Ensuring relevant approvals are in place prior to estimate production.
- Liaise with Sales and Engineering Teams to ensure customers requirements and expectations are understood in order to provide said estimates.
- Liaise with Suppliers and Purchasing department to accurately price materials and services for estimate production.
- Ensure estimating database is kept up to date with feed-back from Operations, Planning and Commercial.
- Support Sales Team, providing customer/competitor intelligence and identifying business development opportunities.
- Assist Sales Team for future investment into aircraft types through review of aircraft in region, approvals required and maintenance requirements.
- Support Sales Team with general administration.
- Carry out any other duties within reasonable requests to support the Business as required.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) estimation or similar roles within the aerospace industry.
- Strong technical understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with OEMs, suppliers, and subcontractors in the aviation industry is preferred.
- Authority to live and work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients, internal teams, and vendors.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools, such as Quantum, Corridor, or similar MRO platforms.
