About the Role
As Director of Aircraft Line Maintenance & CAMO – Europe, you provide strategic and operational leadership across European line stations and continuing airworthiness activities, with a primary base in Paris. You are responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, timely MRO services while embedding company standards and driving operational excellence. The role encompasses full financial accountability, including budget management, KPI oversight, and cost optimisation to achieve profitability targets. Acting as a senior point of contact for key customers, you maintain strong relationships and ensure rapid resolution of complex issues to deliver an exceptional service experience. You lead and develop a multidisciplinary team across multiple sites, fostering high performance through effective recruitment, coaching, and performance management. In parallel, you ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements (including EASA and FAA) and champion a robust safety culture. Through continuous improvement and Lean initiatives, you drive efficiencies, reduce turnaround times, and enhance overall service quality and customer satisfaction across the network
The role oversees line maintenance operations across key European stations including Paris, Nice, Geneva, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland, ensuring consistent standards and performance across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of European Line Stations and CAMO activities, ensuring safe, compliant, and on-time delivery of MRO services
- Drive operational excellence by implementing company processes, standards, and best practices across all sites
- Manage full P&L responsibility, including budget planning, cost control, and profitability optimisation
- Monitor performance through KPIs, taking corrective action to meet financial and operational targets
- Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring high levels of service and rapid resolution of escalated issues
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing, multi-site teams including technicians, planners, and support staff
- Oversee recruitment, training, succession planning, and performance management to strengthen organisational capability
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and airworthiness requirements (EASA, FAA) and internal quality standards
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all locations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean practices, to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and improve customer satisfaction
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between maintenance, engineering, and support teams to ensure seamless operations
- Provide strategic direction for network growth, capability development, and service delivery enhancement across Europe
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in aerospace aftermarket or MRO operations
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multi-site operations
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including EASA, FAA, and airworthiness requirements
- Proven experience managing budgets, P&L, and driving financial performance
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate large, cross-functional teams
- Strong operational background with a focus on efficiency, quality, and on-time performance
- Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex, multi-site environments
- Strong customer focus with experience managing key client relationships
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English and French
