JMC Aviation are working with a component repair company based in Saffron Walden (relocating to Braintree in Autumn 2025), looking to recruit a new Commercial Administrator to join their team.

This client specialises in component repairs for a wide range of commercial aircraft from electrical to mechanical and interior to welding. This is a Permanent Position based in Saffron Walden (relocating to Braintree in Autumn 2025).
40x hours per week, working days – 08:00-16:30.

The Role
The role holder will report to the Commercial Manager and the primary purpose of the job will be to act as the first point of contact for customers to manage, track and progress the maintenance and repair of their airline components from arrival at the facility to their safe return in order to maximise the efficiency of our operation and deliver the highest standards of customer service.

Other duties involve:

– Regular liaison with customers to manage, track and progress the maintenance and repair of airline components
– Produce accurate estimates for repair orders including all labour and materials required and record via Aerotrac
– Produce reports via Aerotrac for customers, weekly tracking their repair orders and their status
– Checking and chasing customer repairs against agreed delivery deadlines
– Seek timely approvals to maximise production capacity
– Respond to questions and queries by customers relating to their repair orders
– Liaising with production and customers to drive throughput of work
– Provide to customers honest appraisals of delivery times through regular updates
– Build rapport and trust with customer base through consistent high quality service levels

In order to be successful in this role the Commercial Administrator will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

– Experience within a similar role in an Aviation MRO
– IT literate with knowledge of Aerotrac
– Good communicator, negotiator and customer focused
