JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new AOG Controller to join their team.
This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted.
5/5/4 day shift pattern, working 07:00 – 19:00.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide an improved customer experience by introducing a single point of contact for managing communications across the network, enhancing AOG management and strengthening the company’s strategic position within the aviation market by offering a premium MRO service.
Other Duties Involve
– Providing a bespoke solution to a customer’s AOG occurrence
– Producing AOG recovery plans detailing the recovery timeline, estimated serviceability date/time and allocated resources
– Managing AOG events globally, providing support to ensure safe, efficient and effective recovery to minimise impact for customers
– Maintaining a dynamic feedback loop to ensure timely, regular and accurate communication to all internal and external key stakeholders
– Assisting the Operations Manager with the daily operation of the Centre of Excellence department and supporting the day-to-day operation
– Ensuring standard operating procedures are complied with and maintained through an AOG recovery
– Recording of cost expenditure during the AOG recovery for invoicing to the customer
In order to be successful in this role the AOG Controller will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes
– A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry, or university degree relevant to aircraft engineering or aviation management
– Qualified Part 66 licence holder
– Technical experience in aviation
– Have a working good knowledge of aircraft systems
– Hold a valid UK Drivers Licence (the role may be required to travel to the AOG location to provide onsite management and support as required)
– Right to live and work in the UK
