JMC Aviation are working with an FBO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new Aircraft Mechanic to join their team.  
   
This client is well known for outstanding levels of service in their FBO facility. As a family run business with multiple decades of experience, they strive for excellence throughout their skilled workforce as they deal with in-house engineering and support services on business jets.     
This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted with an immediate start date working 7am – 7pm in a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.        
     
Salary and Benefits:      
     
– £37,000 per annum + £5,000.00 DOE      
– 195 hours holiday increasing with 5 years service + bank holidays + holiday buy back/ unpaid leave scheme
– Overtime 1.5 hourly rate

The responsibilities of the Aircraft Mechanic will involve:        
       
– Carrying out maintenance tasks as directed by the Licensed Engineer and ensuring all relevant paperwork is correctly filled in      
– Ensuring good housekeeping within the hangar environment and associated workshops. Paying particular attention to his/her designated work area      
– Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant company and Health and Safety procedures      
– Ensuring that all contract staff under your control are properly directed, have comprehensive work instructions, and adequately briefed on each activity and understand and work to the quality system as defined in part 3 (quality systems) of the company MOE      
– Organising and controlling labour within your area of responsibility in conjunction with the licensed engineer      
– Raising work cards and requisitions as directed by the Licensed Engineer      
– Carrying out and supervising aircraft towing manoeuvres using the company tug equipment      
– Ensuring company vehicles, tooling and equipment are kept in good condition      
– Constantly seek improvement in all activities to maximise productivity and minimise cost      
– Communicating the progress of inputs/projects daily by written reports and daily meetings      
– Carrying out any other duties as may be required by the Shift Supervisors, Hangar Manager and/or by the Head of Maintenance      
         
In order to be successful in this role, the Aircraft Mechanic will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:        
       
– Demonstrable experience in a similar role      
– Completed a recognised aircraft mechanic apprenticeship      
– Computer literate with experience in ERP software and Microsoft Office      
– Excellent organisational and communication skills      
– Full clean UK driving licence      
– Must have the right to live and work in the UK
