About the Role
On behalf of our client, a passenger and freight service provider, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Engineer to provide technical support services to the Part 145 Maintenance Organisation, including liaison with regulatory authority, aircraft, and component OEM. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and varied environment whilst supporting continuous airworthiness.
Key Responsibilities
The Role:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on ATR 72 and DHC-6 aircraft in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
- Certify aircraft maintenance within the scope of company authorisations and CAA Part-145 regulations.
- Troubleshoot and rectify defects and perform component replacements as required.
- Complete all documentation and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring full traceability.
- Supervise and mentor unlicensed engineers and apprentices, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with Part M, Technical Records, and Logistics to ensure effective maintenance planning and parts availability.
- Assist in aircraft movements, towing, and hangar organisation.
- Participate in AOG recovery activities as required.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment by adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Report and escalate any technical, procedural, or safety issues to the relevant supervisor or management.
- Undertake additional duties or training as requested by Head of Maintenance.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Hold a valid UK CAA A, B1.1 (Turboprop/Jet) or B2 licence.
- Type rating on the ATR 72-212A (600) and/or DHC-6 (Type rating courses may be offered to suitable candidates).
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, and EWIS awareness.
- Flexible, team-oriented approach with a commitment to safety and on time performance.
- Ability to certify work within the scope of company approvals.
