The Compliance Director is responsible for leading the global compliance function of the business activities as well as oversight of the Quality and Immigration Compliance functions within the organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective strategies to ensure the ongoing compliance of engineering and maintenance project delivery teams, structural mobile repair team projects and recruitment business activities. Ensuring operational teams follow compliant processes, contractual obligations are met and technical activity aligns with industry regulations.

Strategy Development and Implementation:
Lead and define the company’s global compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and regulatory requirements
Establish a robust compliance framework covering all engineering, maintenance, repair and recruitment activities
Monitor changes in aviation regulations to ensure timely implementation across the business
Provide proactive guidance to the Senior Leadership Team on regulatory risk and emerging compliance obligations
Report to the Senior Leadership Team on compliance performance, risk, incidents, improvements and trends
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance maintenance for the business when establishing in new or existing geographiesEnsure compliance across engineering and maintenance project delivery and recruitment and manpower supplyVerify operational teams are consistently applying compliant processes and maintaining accurate documentationLead internal compliance monitoring, audits and investigations, ensuring findings drive measurable corrective action
- Act as the senior point of escalation for compliance queries, regulatory interpretation and customer audits
- Quality:
- Lead and develop the Quality department to ensure continued compliance with 9100 & 9110 accreditation requirementsEnsure the internal audit programme is effective, risk-based and aligned with industry best practiceProvide technical input into root cause analysis, corrective/preventative actions and quality planning
- Develop quality function to support the continued growth of the company and our customer base
- Safety
- Oversee and manage the development, documentation and implementation of in-house safety processes, procedures and standards
- Ensure the maintenance of safety management documentation
- Provide guidance and advice on safety matters
- Ensure the initiation and follow up of internal investigations
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing compliance and quality team
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and regulatory excellence
- Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs and support ongoing professional development
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the budget for each department, ensuring financial targets are met
- Monitor department expenditure, analyse financial data, and identify areas for operational efficiency
- Risk Management & General Responsibilities:
- Lead the identification, assessment and management of regulatory and operational compliance risksRepresent the organization during external audits, customer assessments and regulatory engagements

Person Specification
Essential:
- Align with and demonstrate the core values of the business – Collaboration, Innovation, Integrity, Passion & Unique
- Senior compliance/quality leadership experience within aviation, preferably Part 145 experience
- Knowledge of 9100 & 9110 accreditations and best practice
- Experienced line manager who possesses good leadership qualities
- Process driven with good attention to detail
- Ability to be able to review and interpret legal and legislative documents
- Good understanding of all JMC services and the market we operate
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Possess self-awareness and an eagerness to learn and develop
