This is a Permanent Position based in Ramsgate.
Working Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:00 and Friday 08:00 – 15:30.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the teams in the Machine Shop and Bush Fit sections as well as supervising all departments within the Machine Shop (Boring, Turning, Grinding and Bush Fit/CNC Fabrication).
Other Duties Involve
– Planning and scheduling MPBU workload in line with the site production schedule, through Quantum ERP system
– Maintaining and ensuring implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures
– Training, motivating and performance managing staff
– Completing performance reviews, identifying training and development opportunities for team members
– Maintaining the function of plant and equipment to include machine maintenance (preventative and scheduled)
– Complying with health, safety and environmental regulations
– Co-ordinating the efficient use and organisation of resources and equipment to meet the production schedule
– Planning for and supporting the implementation of new product development initiatives
– Ensuring component work is undertaken in accordance with procedures from CMM's and overhaul manuals
– Liaising with the customer support team to facilitate achievement of efficient and effective customer service levels
In order to be successful in this role the Machine Shop Team Leader will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes
– Prior experience of leading teams
– Computer literate
– An ability to work to tight deadlines is essential, whilst maintaining a high degree of quality and compliance
– Customer focused and able to build and maintain robust customer relationships
– Able to manage and develop a team in a demanding, customer focused working environment
