JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based in Southend, looking to recruit a new APU Supervisor to join their team.
This client is a leading MRO which have been operating for over 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and helping their employees progress within their roles. They offer in-house component repair, overhaul and maintenance of a range of aircraft types.
This is a Permanent Position based n APU Strip and Build Workshop in Southend.
40 hours per week, working 08:00 – 16:30 (Monday – Friday).

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the APU shop, overseeing the repair and overhaul of GTCP 85 and 36 series APUs and components. Your dedication to quality and safety will ensure our operations continue to meet and exceed industry standards.
Other duties involve:
– Conduct thorough inspections, overhauls, and repairs of GTCP 85 and 36 series APUs and components according to original manufacturer manuals and instructions
– Uphold stringent quality standards and procedures to deliver the best results
– Drive innovation by researching and implementing new repair techniques and capabilities
– Ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
– Prepare detailed workshop reports and material reviews to support accurate customer estimates.
– Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement safety measures to safeguard our workforce.
– Understand and exceed customer expectations to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
– Support the professional development of team members through training and mentorship.
Skills and experience required.
In order to be successful in this role the APU Supervisor will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Proficiency in handling GTCP 85 and/or GTCP 36 series APUs.
– Familiarity with EASA Pt 145 regulatory requirements for aircraft component maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
– Previous experience in an aviation environment, with a preference for similar supervisory roles.
– Competency in MS Office and business systems and procedures.
– Ability to interpret technical manuals and accurately record inspection findings.
– Strong planning and organisational abilities to manage complex tasks effectively
– Effective management and coaching skills to lead and inspire team members.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
