About the Role
JMC Aviation is recruiting experienced Technical Assistants – Motors & Mechanics to support an ongoing aerospace project in Italy.
The successful candidates will have experience working with metalworking machines, workshop tools, maintenance systems and motor/mechanical components.
Machinery and tools will be provided by the customer.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with metalworking machines and workshop tools.
- Supporting mechanical and maintenance activities.
- Working with motor and mechanical components.
- Following technical instructions, drawings and customer procedures.
- Ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean and FOD-free working environment.
- Following all applicable site, safety and security procedures.
- Reporting any defects, issues or discrepancies as required.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in a technical, mechanical, maintenance or workshop environment.
- Familiarity with metalworking machines and workshop tools.
- Familiarity with maintenance systems and motor/mechanical parts.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and procedures.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to complete and maintain mandatory aerospace/site training, including:
- FOD
- HF
- SMS
- MAL/NAM
- EWIS
- FTS
- MMOE
- MANMAN
- Must meet applicable aerospace/customer qualification requirements.
- Must comply with applicable Italian safety requirements, including D.Lgs 81/2008 and DPCM 6 Nov 2015 n.5.
- Own transport required for movement around the base.
- Right to work in the EU.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within an aerospace, aviation, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience in mechanical maintenance or production.
- Experience working to technical documentation and quality procedures.
- Previous experience working on an aircraft production or MRO site.
