About the Role
On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and supporting the cost accounting systems and processes
- Preparing, evaluating and analysing product costing’s
- Costing of materials purchased
- Reconcile the monthly movement held within stock system
- Monthly monitoring of bills of material and inventory movements
- Cost analysis of manufacturing process
- Analysis of profit margin and involvement in the setting of prices
- Analysing organisational data and assessing rates of labour
- Reviewing hourly rates achieved against expectations
- Implementing new cost saving efficiencies and maximising profitability
- Liaise with production team to discuss actual manufacturing performance and accuracy of data
- Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for senior management
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements
- Prepare general ledger postings and statements
- Management of cashbooks including monthly reconciliation and journal posting
- Provide assistance during the companies’ implementation of a new ERP system
Candidate Requirements
- Experience of the manufacturing industry desirable
- Qualified or part qualified AAT
- Previous accounting experience is essential
- Right to work in the UK
