JMC Aviation are working with a component repair company based in Waterford, Ireland, looking to recruit a new Production Manager to join their team.
This client specialises in component repairs for a wide range of commercial aircraft from electrical to mechanical and interior to welding. This is a Permanent Position based in Waterford, Ireland.
40 hours per week, working Monday – Friday (8am – 4:30pm).

The Role
The primary purpose of this role will be to oversee the production process and coordinate all activities to ensure enough resources on hand. In addition, plan workers’ schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets required deadlines. In addition, the role holder will manage the site in the absence of the Workshop Manager.
Other duties involve:
– Organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
– Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
– Estimate costs and prepare budgets
– Monitor production to resolve issues
– Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (stores and technicians etc.)
– Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, parts etc.)
– Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
– Ensure output meets quality standards
– Enforce health and safety precautions
– Report to the Workshop Manager and the Company Directors
Skills and experience required.
In order to be successful in this role the Production Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Must be an experienced Production Manager or Supervisor with an aviation or similar engineering background.
– Have an understanding of technical publications and knowledge of Commercial Aerospace working practices.
– Have a deep knowledge of production management, quality standards and health & safety regulations
– Outstanding leadership, communication and organisational skills.
– Right to live and work in the UK
