JMC Aviation are working with an Aviation Component Repair company based in Saffron Walden, looking to recruit two new Engineering apprentices to join their team on a 4 year apprenticeship programme in association with Stansted College.
This business specialises in component repairs for a wide range of commercial aircraft from electrical to mechanical and interior to welding. The company offers a warm welcoming environment with a great team environment, aiding their employees in honing their skills providing outstanding customer service.    
This is a Permanent Position based in Saffron Walden. 1 day per week in based in college, the other 4 days are based on site working 08:00-16:30.

The Role    
This is a rotating apprenticeship, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to learn and develop new engineering skills from their professional and experienced team across  a number of different departments. Key areas will include:  
– Asset Management: keeping Manufacturing machinery maintained, managing processes, filling/packing, and site cleaning operations
– Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects, project management, or tests and trial activities
– Fault finding and quick action to meet safety standards
– Being part of a team striving to achieve the highest quality product
– Highlighting concerns and ensuring products or volumes meet the agreed requirements and targets
 
This Apprenticeship combines technical training, academic study, work-based learning, and covers all the fundamental Engineering topics you need to know, such as:
– Mechanical and electrical engineering principles
– Procurement
– Safety Propocols
– Hands on skills
– Aviation regulatory safety and compliance
 
 
          
Skills and experience required.    
In order to be successful in this role the Engineering Apprentice will need to demonstrate the following entry requirements:     
– Able to demonstrate a clear passion for Engineering
– Great attention to detail
– Good time management skills
– Ability to analyse problems and suggest improvements or solutions
– Ability to take a proactive approach
– Ability to take ownership of own work
– Demonstrates a self-motivated and proactive approach to work and studies
– Ability to demonstrate good team working skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Right to live and work in the UK
