Engineering Administration Manager

JMC are working with an MRO company based in either Stansted or Gatwick, looking to recruit a new Engineering Administration Manager to join their team.
This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in either Stansted or Gatwick,
37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is taking responsibility of daily administrative functions of the company, overseeing all engineering administrators within the engineering department as the functional manager.
Other Duties Involve:
– Leading and developing the Administration teams, engaging the teams to ensure sectional priorities are clearly communicate
– Creating and overseeing the global administration functions to drive process improvements, efficiencies and standardisation  
– Provide direct administrative support to all engineering department operational requirements
– Take and provide copies of meeting minutes within 48hrs of the event
– Carry out engineer roster, annual leave, sickness administration
– Engineering Credit Cards and Expense Overview/Approval
– Vehicle Fuel Card Management
– Manage the online Travel Booking Tool
– Support scheduling of engineers training and authorisation programme
– Maintain relationships with suppliers, aerodromes and other administration teams as required
– Process airport access pass applications
– Assist in arranging CRC's and GSAT for airport pass applications or local equivalent
– Oversee and arrange initial and annual Airside Driver Permit (ADP) applications including booking for medical checks & 6 monthly driver audits (where required)
– Production and control of training bonds.
– Raise Purchase Requisitions and Uniform orders for the engineering department
– Accomplishment of such other tasks and projects as may be reasonably requested
– Responsible for management and control of engineering department travel costs (in line with company budget and travel expense policy).
– Management of travel booking system (review travel): make sure all travel bookings include accurate and complete information. Monitor and update approval permissions etc
In order to be successful in this role the Engineering Administration Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Proven experience as an Administration Manager or similar role
– Experience within Aviation is desirable
– Experience within an MRO is desirable
– Right to live and Work in the UK
