JMC Aviation are working with a MRO company based near Cardiff, looking to recruit a new Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic to join their team.
This company are global leaders in Aircraft Storage, Disassembly and Storage services.
The role has arisen as the company is growing on the maintenance arm of their business, and they are now looking to open a new hangar later this year. This is a Permanent Position based near Cardiff, working Monday – Thursday 0700-1630, Friday 0700-1530

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to assist the B1 Engineers during the arrival and subsequent storage and maintenance checks performed to maintain aircraft serviceability prior to entering part out.
Other duties involve:
– Working as part of a team to ensure the safe and compliant maintenance of aircraft.
– To read/interpret AMMs & IPCs. (Additional training will be given).
– Accept training in Part 145 Procedures, HF, EWIS & FTS.
– Working as a team to ensure aircraft are maintained IAW with team approvals.
– Train to wrap engines in protective film.
– To raise any non-conformities/risk of damage/ safety hazards to your manager.
– To work closely with the B1 Engineers and the maintenance manager.
– To actively participate support the daily reviews, Team Project Boards.
– To work with various tools/equipment and ensure all items are always maintained and in a good state of repair.
– Perform routine tooling inventory checks.
– To actively support the continuous improvement projects within the business to help improve quality, productivity, etc. and to raise issues and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
– To promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to ensure all duties are performed within established safety guidelines.
– Supporting the delivery of KPIs across safety, quality, and productivity to maintain operational growth.
– Be available to be trained to tow aircraft and operate equipment within the airfield environment.
In order to be successful in this role the Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Demonstrable experience in Aircraft Maintenance
– Right to Work in the UK
– Team player
– Working toward relevant qualifications as required
– HF, EWIS & FTS desirable
