This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver strategic revenue growth across the MRO’s Line Maintenance operations and training division, which encompasses both EASA Part 147 Technical Training, Part 145 Regulatory Training, and Corporate Training Services.
Other Duties Involve
– Own the commercial performance of the global line maintenance network, with full responsibility for delivering all associated monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
– Lead strategic business development efforts targeting airline operators, leasing companies, and third-party maintenance buyers.
– Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key airline and lessor clients.
– Manage annual contract escalations in accordance with inflation clauses, indexation terms, and commercial agreements
– Continuously assess contract efficiency at each line station, analysing manpower utilisation, aircraft type complexity, and traffic frequency.
– Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through active monitoring of service delivery, issue resolution, and SLA adherence
– Engage directly with clients to resolve overdue balances and ensure adherence to agreed financial terms.
– Contribute to long-term strategic planning through market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and performance insight.
– Promote and sell EASA Part-147 training programs, including basic training, type ratings, and continuation courses to airlines, MROs, and training institutions.
– Support the expansion of training delivery formats, including virtual classrooms, blended modules, and self-paced eLearning.
– Maintain accurate and real-time sales data through the CRM, ensuring that all commercial activity is captured, reported, and tracked for performance analysis and forecasting.
– Produce commercially sound proposals and pricing models that balance customer value with sustainable margin contribution.
– Deliver strategic sales reporting and revenue forecasts to the Director of Maintenance, Head of Training, and Finance.
– Support bid review processes
– Represent company at key industry events, including MRO expos, training and HR conferences
– Monitor and interpret industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor developments to identify both opportunities and threats
– Collaborate with the Marketing team to support the development of sales enablement tools, campaign content, and digital engagement strategies.
In order to be successful in this role the Sales Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– High-performing sales professional with a passion for lead generation, commercial growth, and closing complex B2B deals
– Strong commercial knowledge and a structured, KPI focused approach
– Experience writing and presenting proposals and pitches.
– Compotent with CRM and sales tools
– Aviation sector is beneficial but not essential
– Willing and able to travel across the UK and overseas to meet clients and attend industry events
