JMC are working with an MRO company based in Prestwick, looking to recruit a new Material Controller to join their team.
This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.

This is a Permanent Position based in Prestwick, working 40 hours per week on a 5/5/4 shift pattern.

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for managing, receiving and issuing of aircraft components and associated material to meet engineering requirements
Other Duties Involve:
-Effectively manage on-site stock, maintaining part availability whilst insuring shelf life of components/material is not exceeded in line with customer contracts
-Update and maintain the stock data within ERP system
-Carry out regular on-site stock checks, utilising ERP system to ensure stock levels are accurately maintained
-Adhere to aircraft parts Good Receiving practises, i.e correct regulatory documentation and packaging
-Adhere to Third Party Component Suppliers Logistic procedures, ensuring compliance with suppliers procedures
-Ensure compliance with Engineering Policy, Statutory Airworthiness requirements, Safety Standards, Company Standing Instructions and Health and Safety
In order to be successful in this role the Material Controller will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Right to work in the UK
-Previous Aviation Logistics/Stores experience required
-Knowledge of AMOS and/or similar ERPs
