About the Role
The role will be responsible for supervising the Purchasing department and administering and managing key Suppliers for the company. The focus of this role is on SRM and managing Supply Chain to ensure compliance and the business secures Value for Money.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure a wide range of aircraft parts and materials in line with operational procedures, ensuring timely PO placement, fulfilment, and delivery.
- Source parts at competitive prices, identify new suppliers, negotiate discounts/rebates, and maintain Master Price Lists
- Monitor shipments (including international), resolve supply chain issues, and ensure continuity of supply.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC Customs & Excise requirements, including Monthly MSS reporting, Quarterly Inward Processing Reports, Annual export/licensing reports (including controlled military exports), Timely correction of data discrepancies
- Manage inventory and materials, including stock control, annual stock takes, RTP materials, donor units, service exchanges, and consignment stock (internal and external).
- Review and improve purchasing processes, supporting development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Build and manage supplier relationships including monthly and quarterly reviews, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Administer workflows via IMRO WMS, ensuring SLA targets are met and source parts via third-party platforms
- Manage supplier performance, complaints, and non-compliance; communicate technical and operational updates across stakeholders.
- Gather market intelligence on pricing, supplier performance, and business opportunities.
- Represent the business at trade shows and supplier meetings, promoting growth and partnerships.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience within a similar position
- A high level of Supplier Relationship Management services experience with focus of delivering value.
- Conscientious, confident and computer literate.
- Well organised and articulate.
- Excellent attention to detail skills.
- A good working knowledge of Industry, Databases and appropriate software packages
