Job Title: B2 Licensed Engineer
Location: East Midlands Airport (EMA)
Employment Type: Permanent
Shifts: 5,5,4 – 12hrs
Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support aircraft maintenance operations at East Midlands Airport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in accordance with approved maintenance documentation and within the scope of the company’s approvals. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance and certification in accordance with the scope of company approval.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed accurately and in line with approved procedures.
  • Organise manpower, tooling and spares requirements as required.
  • Prepare and distribute relevant work packs and maintenance documentation.
  • Liaise with customers regarding work orders, requests and job progress.
  • Provide regular updates to customers and relevant management regarding maintenance progress.
  • Support AOG and operational maintenance planning activities.
  • Participate in customer and operational conference calls where required.
  • Maintain accurate engineering records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
  • Maintain detailed shift diaries and provide comprehensive verbal and written handovers.
  • Communicate any technical or operational issues to management.
  • Ensure continued compliance with applicable aviation legislation and company procedures.
  • Work professionally and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business.

Candidate Requirements

  • UK CAA Part-66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
  • Current B2 licence and relevant company authorisation.
  • Previous aircraft maintenance experience within a line or base maintenance environment.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance documentation and procedures.
  • Valid EWIS, Human Factors (HF) and Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) training.
  • SMS training advantageous, although this can be arranged if required.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of applicable aviation legislation.
  • Strong communication and customer liaison skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working and ability to operate effectively in a busy maintenance environment.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
