About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced M2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our maintenance team in Halifax (YHZ). The successful candidate will perform and certify maintenance, inspection, and repair activities on Boeing 777 aircraft, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Transport Canada (CARs) and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled line and heavy maintenance tasks on Boeing 777 aircraft.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical system defects.

Carry out component removals, installations, and functional testing in accordance with approved maintenance data.

Ensure all work is documented accurately in accordance with Transport Canada and company procedures.

Certify maintenance work within the scope of the M2 license and applicable authorizations.

Support AOG recovery and on-call maintenance as required.

Mentor and assist apprentices and other maintenance personnel.

Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance at all times.

Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with Maintenance Control, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams.
Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Transport Canada AME License – Category M2.

Endorsement and/or hands-on experience with Boeing 777 aircraft required.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience performing maintenance on large transport-category aircraft.

Strong working knowledge of CARs, Maintenance Control Procedures (MCPs), and Safety Management Systems (SMS).

Proven ability to interpret and use maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical publications.

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) and Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP).

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Preferred Assets
-
Endorsements or experience on other wide-body types such as B767, B787, or A330.

Experience in line maintenance environments.

Familiarity with AMOS, TRAX, or other maintenance tracking systems.

Previous experience working within a Transport Canada–approved AMO (Part 145).
